We were so thrilled to be a part of Sarah & Misty’s fun and creative farm wedding at Khimaira Farm! Khimaira (which comes from the ancient Greek word for she-goat) Farm was originally a commercial goat dairy that has transitioned to a multi-species farm, and also hosts weddings in their barn. It was amazing to see such a unique venue and meet some of the goat “kids” that lived there. We loved the cameo appearance that they made at cocktail hour!
Sarah & Misty’s wedding day was filled with laughter and love! Instead of wearing bridal gowns, the brides in this same sex wedding chose to wear suits. Each suit had a small purple detail which matched the other purple decor seen throughout their special day provided an elegant touch to their ceremony and reception, and were especially enhanced in the floral decor by Flourish Root. From there, the beautiful fall colors of the landscape created a kaleidoscope of hues to complement the warmth and happiness of the couple and their guests. We absolutely adored the idea of a unity painting at the ceremony, and are looking forward to creating portraits to go along with the purple and gray of the unity painting in Sarah & Misty’s home. This couples wedding party were so entertaining and relaxed. We loved the mixed bridal party with a twist, as one side had bouquets and the other side had boutonnieres. Both sides had amazing wedding converse shoes and sunglasses which made for some very memorable bridal party photographs! The entirely vegan wedding was full of heavenly food from Main Street Bakery and Catering and desserts by Bijou’s Sweet Treats. We were so impressed with the amazing sweets at this wedding! Sarah & Misty had a delectable white birch cake surrounded by delicious cupcakes! To end the fabulous day in a crafty way, Sarah and Misty took off into the night with a creative, glow stick exit into the awaiting car!
Sarah & Misty, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day! We wish you both the best and are so excited to see you both soon!
