On a hot summer day in Charlottesville, a large catholic church wedding is always my favorite! As much as I love outdoor weddings, I am grateful to escape the heat, and enjoy photographing in the comfort of AC in some of Charlottesville’s best churches! Ashleigh and Brian’s black tie wedding this summer was truly a grand affair! The day started out with a large Catholic Church ceremony at the Holy Comforter Catholic Church in the historic downtown area of Charlottesville, Virginia. The church was nicely decorated with greenery spread throughout the whole church. Ashleigh had the cutest flower girls and all six of them were just delighted to be a part of the wedding party. All of their guests and bridal party then headed over to Keswick, Virginia where the wedding reception took place at Castle Hill Cider. The huge white barn and vast landscapes at Castle Hill is why we love being Virginia wedding photographers.

We love taking the opportunity to capture the mountain views of the Charlottesville wedding venue with our drone photography. Our couples love to see these aerial photographs as it gives a wonderful and different perspective of their wedding venue set amongst the beautiful mountains. The greenery in the summertime is breathtaking and we had so much fun capturing the love between Ashleigh and Brian, as they enjoyed a few minutes alone together while their guests enjoyed the scenic cocktail hour. Ashleigh and Brian had gorgeous pink and purple floral centerpieces displayed on the tables for their reception. The drapery and chandeliers were really lovely along with the bistro lights. What a glamorous Charlottesville wedding! As virginia wedding photographers know, you should never miss a great sunset! Luckily the sunset was epic that night, and we were so grateful to sneak away with Ashleigh and Brian during the reception to capture some awesome evening photographs!
