Virginia Destination Wedding | King Family Vineyards

Andrew first caught Kathryn’s eye while performing with the Cavalier Marching Band (including a dance to NSYNC!), but it wasn’t until a few months later that the two got lost in conversation after running into each other at the Virginian. After popping champagne to celebrate a beautiful proposal in June of 2017, Kathryn and Andrew began planning their Virginia destination wedding at King Family Vineyards. It was such a gorgeous day, with amazing views of the mountains, and the bride and groom’s love was infectious!

They chose navy and gold for their classic wedding day, and we loved the touches of blush in the flowers and with the bridesmaids’ dresses. Kathryn walked down the aisle with her father and stepfather on either side, and it was such a special moment that really touched us. The backdrop of the ceremony for their Virginia destination wedding was absolutely stunning! After an adorable first kiss, the wedding guests enjoyed some delicious signature cocktails (Andrew is a huge cocktail enthusiast!), while we stole the bride and groom away to photograph the wedding portraits. The sun was setting perfectly, giving us the best wedding silhouette photo ever!

Kathryn and Andrew then surprised their guests with their first dance — a slow song that transitioned into a fun swing dance (thanks to lessons from DJ Tobler!). We had a blast watching the bride and groom twirling around the dance floor with all their friends and family cheering them on! The night continued with equally touching and comical toasts by the Maid of Honor and Best Man, awesome dance moves from the guests that truly showed how much fun they were having, and a yummy S’mores bar set up outside for guests to enjoy the beautiful views surrounding King Family Vineyards. We loved this grand sparkler exit to bring their beautiful Virginia destination wedding to a close.
