Kate and Alex’s gorgeous vintage wedding took place at King Family Vineyards amongst the mist of rain and the crisp beginning of fall. Kate and Alex fell in love after being close friends for a few years at their first job. They shared their feelings for one another right before Alex moved away for law school, but the distance was not enough to keep them apart and Alex proposed on Kate’s birthday a few years later.
We absolutely loved the warm, vintage feel of this wedding. With so many heirloom details, the setting of the wedding was that of past grandeur. Kate’s veil has been worn by multiple women in her family so it well fulfilled her “something borrowed”. The vibrant red and gold details seen throughout the day perfectly matched with the romantic feel of their wedding day, and was seen in everything from the flowers and table arrangements, to the invitation suite. When they first got engaged, Kate had not originally thought about carrying a bouquet and instead, jokingly mentioned carrying a pocket watch. Fast forward to their wedding day where Alex presented her with a pocket watch, which she then incorporated in the beautiful bouquet made by Cody at Amore Events by Cody. Keeping with a tradition, the couple had buried a bottle of bourbon to keep the rain at bay and then uncovered it for their wedding day. It half-worked as they were still able to enjoy time outside to take some beautiful portraits. We hope you enjoy some of our favorite moments from Kate & Alex’s special day!
