Kristen & Luke’s Summer Vineyard Wedding

As a vineyard wedding photographer it was great to recently experience a beautiful new Virginia winery, Crosskeys Vineyards for Kristen & Luke’s wedding! We absolutely fell in love with the stunning Tuscan architecture and amazing scenery, we will definitely be looking forward to visiting Crosskeys Vineyards again! Their wedding was filled with colors of lavender and green hues, which complimented the vineyard theme effortlessly. Blakemore’s Flowers did a fantastic job of creating the florals, we loved the classic elegance of Kristen’s bouquet, simply Calla Lilies.

It was a joy to be around Kristen & Luke on their wedding day. Luke is a laid-back, fun loving guy, and Kristen’s beautiful smile is infectious (as you can see). Their bridal party were always up for having fun, and the flower girls never failed to entertain! The wedding planner, Tara Morgan – Wedding Realized, was also a joy to work with as she kept everyone on schedule, and did a great job bringing Kristen & Luke’s vision to life.

Their cake had a whimsical design, topped with flowers and wrapped in hints of lavender ribbon, baked by Carrie Ashton of Buttercream Dreams. Not only did they have an eye catching cake design, but they had a spectacular table filled with endless amounts of delicious cookies for their guests to fill a bag with every variety. The reception was decorated in strings of light under silk like fabric. Kristen & Luke dined under the lights in the middle of the room at a lovely sweetheart table, and after dinner everyone moved outside to the terrace lit by romantic bistro lights for an evening filled with dancing under the stars!

As the celebration continued we did see some traditional favorites, the bouquet and garter toss, the bouquet landed in the hands of one of Luke’s sisters! Kristen and Luke had a beautiful sparkler send off (our favorite) leading up to their exit in an exquisite antique car. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day!
