We are so excited to share Emma & Derek’s fun and unique Charlottesville wedding at Keswick Hall with you. Emma looked stunning in her Paloma Blanca dress and beautiful purple sash along with hair and makeup done by Jen Skriloff. We love how the couple chose to have Derek’s dog, Max as the best man and had a mix of attendants on each side instead of a traditional bridal party. The ceremony on the patio of Keswick Hall was beautifully officiated by Rev. Bhavani Metro of Sacred Ground Ceremonies. Derek is of Viking heritage, where as Emma is of Scottish heritage, so each one had an ancesstrial sword to exchange during the ceremony as well as rings. It was so incredible seeing the bride and groom wielding the swords, and we loved that Emma had the larger sword!
We absolutely adored their unique touches on their wedding day including the amazing unicorn ice sculpture from Ice Art, Inc. and royal purple details seen in almost every aspect of their wedding. Let’s not forget the delicious cake by Anita Gupta of Maliha Creations, with a delicate purple ribbon which tied in perfectly with the wedding colors! As they cut the cake, guests were treated to an amazing fireworks display by Virginia Skypainters which enhanced the majestic feel of the day. From there guests moved back inside where Rhythm6 got the party started and everyone danced the night away. We hope you enjoy a small peek of Emma & Derek’s royal wedding day!
