Meghan & Kris had a beautiful scenic wedding ceremony that took place at King Family Vineyards, with the panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The day was sweet and simple, a rustic inspired wedding that most brides dream about.
Back in May we had the privilege of photographing Meghan & Kris’s engagement, at Bold Rock Cidery. From the first moments you could tell their chemistry was undeniable, and we knew their wedding day was going to be amazing!
Hanging from the iconic horseshoe wall in King Family, their cute “memory wall” greeted guests as they arrived. Meghan & Kris incorporated a few DIY wedding details that added a nice personal touch, such as the “B” Meghan made entirely out of wine corks to celebrate her new last name.
Kris got creative by wearing Guiness cufflinks one of his groomsmen gave him, adding a small pop of personality to his wedding day ensemble.
This moment of Kris admiring the beauty of his bride to be is simply to die for.
It’s a rare moment to have all of the horses close by to the fence! We especially love this moment as it captures everything we love about King Family weddings, from the polo horses to King Family’s striking mountain views.
A little back story of Meghan & Kris, their first date was actually a blind date, the two met at a Washington Nationals game. From there the rest was history! We loved the idea of tying in a little baseball pride with the groomsmen sporting Washington National socks!
Is this not the most scenic wedding ceremony!
I think this is our best kiss picture to date! Props to Kris for pulling off the perfect dip kissing his bride!
Hotcakes did a fantastic job designing a classic square wedding cake. We liked the idea of a three teared square cake and the accents of blue hydrangeas and white roses were the perfect touch!
We loved the accents around Meghan & Kris’s sweetheart table. Perfectly placed in the center of the room under the projection display of the couple’s names by their DJ TD of Sound Enforcement.
