Lauren & Eric's Romantic Wedding

Lauren and Eric’s romantic wedding took place at Veritas Vineyards in late February. The romantic feeling throughout the day began with the vintage inspired wedding dress Lauren chose, it was absolutely stunning! Their romantic wedding day was nothing short of flawless. Even as the sun was setting the lighting was ideal to capture beautiful bridal portraits of Lauren in her gown.

Eric and Lauren fell in love during their early years of college. The two met in a typical college fashion, a friend’s house party. As the night came to an end, Eric walked over and asked Lauren if she wanted to dance and she agreed. That evening he walked her home and even lent her his jacket, how gentlemanly (In Eric’s words…super 50’s style), and the rest is history!

We love that Lauren and Eric wanted to have a unique and non-traditional “first look” by blindfolding Eric, which we now lovingly refer to as the “Faux Look”. By doing so, it made for such special moments between the couple, yet still held on to the curiosity of the moment when Eric first saw Lauren walking down the aisle. Their beautiful ceremony was held in the ballroom surrounded by the iconic drapery of Veritas Vineyards ballroom. The aisle was elegantly lined with delicate petals from Amy of Blue Ridge Floral Design, who did an amazing job (as always) with everything from the bouquets to the center pieces.

We really enjoyed all the unique Louisiana traditions they incorporated into their wedding like the second line dance, which signifies the beginning of the life between the bride and groom. Lauren did a stellar job at leading the cheerful parade around the room! Another favorite moment from the night was the college tradition of singing “Don’t wanna miss a thing” as passionately and loudly as they could! Needless to say DJ Tobler kept everyone dancing and enjoying themselves throughout the night!
