Indian Wedding Photographers Charlottesville, Virginia

I’m always thrilled when we get the chance to photograph an Indian wedding in our hometown of Charlottesville, Virginia! We love being Indian wedding photographers in Virginia, so when the couple told us about their wedding at Castle Hill Cider, we were ecstatic! We love capturing all of the beautiful, bold and vivid colors of Indian weddings, not to mention all of the beautiful dresses, makeup, jewelry and flowers.

As Indian Wedding Photographers we love capturing all of the wonderful wedding traditions! Saturday evening started with the Sangeet, and engagement ceremony, which brought both families together for a beautiful ceremony followed by amazing choreographed dances put together by the bride’s sister. After a fun night of celebration, it was a very early morning for the bridal party as they started getting ready around 4am for their 9am Indian ceremony! The bride’s henna, makeup and jewelry were so incredible, and it was worth the very early start to photograph all of the fun wedding details. Prior to their ceremony, the couple did a first look outside the barn of Castle Hill and what a moment it was! We just love first looks and seeing the expressions on their faces when they see each other in private for the first time. It’s such an intimate moment.

Shortly after their first look the festivities kicked off with the Barrat, as the groom and his family were greeted by the bride’s family! The families definitely had fun as they lifted the groom up in the air, to make it harder for the mother of the bride to reach him for the traditional greeting where she lovingly tweaked his nose and bestowed her blessings upon him. Castle Hill provided a beautiful setting for their ceremony, as the wedding guests enjoyed the shade of the linden grove.

It was truly an all day affair, as we continued on with the celebrations throughout the day! During the evening, both of their parents gave emotional, and heartfelt speeches which were very touching. We loved hearing stories about the couple as little kids, and how they came to be together! We truly enjoyed being there for all of it, and wish the happy couple all the best in life and marriage!
