Chiswell Winery Wedding | Lizzy and Jordan

Lizzy and Jordan’s Chiswell Farm & Winery wedding was a beautiful blend of sentimental family ties, personal touches and lots of colorful flowers! Having known Lizzy and her family for a long time, I was thrilled and honored when she asked me to be her wedding photographer! It really meant a lot to me! I was also eager to find out where they were going to choose as a wedding venue, as I know they could choose from a host of beautiful options. Of course I was ecstatic to hear they chose the beautiful Chiswell Farm & Winery as it is a stunning property with panoramic mountain views, and the perfect choice for their wedding.

Even with the wet forecast, the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, was breathtaking amongst the clouds. The misty rain even added a dreamy quality to the landscape, making the couple’s wedding portraits soft and romantic against this scenic view. The sail cloth tent added to the dreamlike wedding and provided a beautiful backdrop for the wedding reception. Adding to the glowing evening were Lizzy’s grandmother’s heirloom candleholders providing a sentimental atmosphere.

Adding to that, the floral arrangements were a special highlight that added a personal touch to Lizzy and Jordan’s wedding. Lizzy had personally grown some of the flowers, which were beautifully combined with blooms from Foxtail Cottage Florals. This gorgeous florals and pops of color mirrored the couple’s fun and bright personalities.

Lizzy and Jordan truly planned a beautiful wedding day, and the joy was evident throughout! It was truly worth the wait to see it all come together and am amazing honor to photograph their wedding at Chiswell Winery! Thank you Lizzy & Jordan! We wish you many years of happiness and joy!
