We love being Charlottesville newborn photographers and that is why we are here to give some tips on your upcoming newborn session! The best time for us to capture your new baby is between 5 to 10 days old. We always ask parents to feed the new baby right before you leave your house to head to the studio. This way by the time you arrive at our Charlottesville photography studio, their bellies will be full and they most likely will be sleepy!

By far the cutest outfit ever! Don’t be afraid to bring a few different outfit changes for your baby and for yourself! It’s always nice to have options!

We have multiple newborn stretch wraps, baby blankets and different baskets for your newborn to look extra cute! In addition, feel free to bring whatever special items from home that you want included in a few of your baby photographs. This could be a monogramed blanket, a stuffed animal that goes with your nursery theme, or personalized baby blocks with their birthday!

We just loved the moment Mason and Collin held baby Elyse for the first time. They were so gentle with her and Collin even went in for a little kiss on the forehead!

Sometimes it takes awhile for a baby to fall back to sleep once awaken and that is okay! Just look at baby Penny so wide awake and alert! That’s why we allow up to 3 hours for each newborn session, so there is time to nurse, change and rock the little one back to sleep.
