Caitlin and Keith had a beautiful Virginia Barn Wedding at Castle Hill Cider. It was truly an honor to be a part of this wedding, as Caitlin and I have known each other for a long time. We were in the same year at Monticello High School (in many of the same classes), and more recently I had gotten to know her family on multiple occasions before the wedding. To say we were all excited about this wedding would be an understatement!
While Caitlin is from Charlottesville, Keith is from Kentucky, and one of my favorite parts about the wedding was how they honored their roots. From burying the bourbon bottle, to the bourbon bar, Keith’s love of Bourbon and his Kentucky heritage was obvious! For Caitlin there were many things, from the wines and cider, to the iconic Charlottesville wedding venue. There were so many fun details we loved!
Another of my favorite details was the vintage car, which felt right at home in front of the beautiful Castle Hill barn!
Couture Design made a beautiful arbor with colorful orange and pink flowers that we loved.
We loved seeing many familiar faces, including Kristen and Luke, whose wedding we photographed last year!
We always love the groom’s first look of his bride during the ceremony! Of course when I saw Caitlin’s mom’s reaction too, I knew I had to make sure you could see her in the picture too. This moment was one of my favorites from the wedding day!
After the gorgeous sunny Castle Hill wedding ceremony under the trees, our bride and groom dug up the bottle of bourbon. Flashback to Wednesday before the wedding, the forecast called for 100% rain. Let’s just say I am now a firm believer in burying the bourbon bottle to bring good weather on the wedding day!
Again, how cool is this old Plymouth car that Caitlin and Keith had for their wedding day?
Harvest Moon Catering as always did a wonderful job with the presentation of the appetizers. Yum!
Charlottesville wedding venue Castle Hill Cider has a perfect landscape view for beautiful country sunsets.
Cakes by Rachel did it again! Rachel makes delicious cupcakes and wedding cakes from all natural ingredients!
I always love the bistro lights in the background, which have become such a staple for a Virginia barn wedding as they provide such a beautiful glow!
A Virginia barn wedding at Castle Hill Cider would not be complete without a fun sparkler exit!
Caitlin and Keith, we wish you all of the happiness in life together! Congratulations again!
