Best Wedding Pictures of 2018 (Part 2)

As we mentioned in part 1 of our Best Wedding Pictures of 2018 blog post, there were so many great pictures from 2018 that we ended up splitting this into a two part series. You can check out the first part here: Best Wedding Photography of 2018 Part 1

When we look back on 2018, it will be the year remembered for record setting rains. When it comes to weddings that is probably the last thing a bride wants to hear. However, I always love to tell couples that even if it rains on your wedding day we are going to have fun, and get some awesome pictures! This was especially true in 2018, as it pushed us to be more creative and come up with new ideas when rain was in the forecast, or the ground was too saturated to go in the grass. This ended up giving me some of my favorite pictures at Veritas Vineyards, like the one of Paige & Anthony as we peer through the amazing doorway and see them set amongst the beautiful mountains and vineyards. Or I love when we captured the night picture of Meghan & Chris being goofy in the rain.

Of course as you will see from the Best Wedding Pictures of 2018 there were plenty of bright sunny days too, and those were equally as amazing with the colorful sunsets and vibrant sky. I especially loved Carlene & Dallas’s elopement at Raven’s Roost Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. This is one of my favorite spots as it had the most amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Lastly, I want to say how lucky I am to be part of so many weddings and amazing moments. I truly appreciate being a wedding photographer when I capture a moment like when Rachel’s dad saw her for the first time on her wedding day. You could tell he was overcome with joy, pride, love and so many emotions. Capturing a moment like that, which they will have for ever, is truly the best!
