Continuing from our Best of 2016 Weddings, we thought it would be fun to highlight the best wedding details we photographed from our Charlottesville weddings this past year! From unique Charlottesville wedding ideas, to the tiny details, there is a lot that goes into wedding planning. Today we celebrate the months and months of wedding planning that goes into creating the most special day of our Virginia brides’ and grooms’ lives!
We love this bridal bouquet created by Tourterelle Floral Design for Lauren and Tom’s Trump Winery wedding, as well as Ley and Andrew’s wedding pictured below!
Our bride Megan had a great Charlottesville wedding idea. For her “something blue” she wore the new Oscar de la Renta scent which matched the wedding theme flawlessly.
Rock Paper Scissors did a wonderful job making these cork Save the Dates for Jen and Brian’s Keswick Vineyard Wedding!
Rock Paper Scissors also created this gorgeous winter wedding invitation suite for Meg and Robby’s wedding at Pippin Hill Farm and Vineyard!
How pretty is Meg’s lovely wedding gown from Lovely Bride hanging ever so elegantly in the ballroom at Veritas Winery and Vineyard?
We love when our couples have a candy bar at their reception! Isn’t this such a wonderful wedding idea? And it adds such great colors for photography.
Anjali’s henna was done to perfection by Henna Harmony! We loved that she had hidden designs incorporated into her henna which were personal to her and Gopi. See if you can spot the Chicago Skyline, logos for the University of Virginia and the Green Bay Packers, a cardiograph, and Gopi’s namehidden in Mehndi design.
Who said it’s all about details for the bride? We love these Charlottesville wedding ideas for our grooms.
Our couples really get creative with their signature wedding cocktails. Lauren and Tom included their pet Marley by having the drink named after him.
Look at these delicious appetizers made by Harvest Moon Catering! They are such a key vendor in our Charlottesville wedding community.
The Saptapadi, pictured above, is when the bride touches seven betel nuts with her right toe while she recites seven sacred vows with her husband. In Hindu weddings, couples take their first 7 steps together as a married couple to represent the promises they made to each other. We loved learning more about Indian traditions this year and can’t wait to photograph more Charlottesville Indian Weddings!
One of our favorite wedding table details from this year were the lantern lights hanging from the floral decor above the head table at this Pippin Hill fall wedding. Emily Butler of Karson Butler Events is one of the best east coast wedding planners and did an amazing job planning all of the details with our bride Courtney and her mom.
Wedding planner, Cinda Hoege of White Birch Events, surprised our couple Rachel and Eric with two live blue birds at their wedding. They represented the presence of Rachel’s father, who was with them in spirit on their beautiful wedding day.
Lavish green garland with little pinecones and lit candles really set the tone for this glamorous winter ceremony in the new Reserve Room at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards! Amore Events by Cody and Southern Blooms by Pat’s Floral Design, both do such a wonderful job with design!
Attention Star Wars fans! Why not include a little BB8 figure in your wedding cake? Anita with Mahila Creations is amazingly talented!
Blue Ridge AV and Lighting did a phenomenal job creating the most romantic wedding atmosphere with these reception bistro lights and chandeliers at Layne and Jeff’s Castle Hill Cider wedding. Also, Sweethaus made the most delicious summer wedding carrot cake.
Amanda McCabe with Engaging Affairs along with DC Rentals, and Edge Floral Event Designers did an incredible job putting together these wedding details. We loved this unique seating chart idea, with the wall of mirrors!
Meg and Robby had guests sign baseball bats instead of a traditional guest book. One of the best wedding ideas I’ve seen recently!
Veritas Winery and Vineyard does a wonderful job catering to their guests for their Charlottesville weddings!
