Funny Wedding Moments | Mount Ida Lodge Charlottesville, VA

You spend an entire year—sometimes even longer— planning the perfect wedding and you expect everything to go according to plan when it comes time to finally walk down that aisle. But, things don’t always go according to plan. There’s no need to stress about it! These little hiccups can translate into some of the funniest wedding moments! And, these funny wedding moments are what make your wedding memorable for years to come.

Meg and Eric experienced some of those funny wedding moments during their jewish wedding at Mount Ida Lodge. When Meg’s father walked her down the aisle, he gave her away and went to sit down … one problem, he was supposed to be officiating the wedding, which he momentarily forgot! There were so many moments from that point on that succumbed to Murphy’s Law, from not having the lighter for the unity candle at first, to hilarious attempts at trying to light it in the wind, and other small moments throughout the ceremony. Thankfully they didn’t forget the rings, as they were safe at the ceremony, but it wasn’t until they were about to walk back down the aisle that they realized they still needed to actually exchange their rings! hen Meg and Eric finally made their official exit down the aisle, they both burst out in sheer laughter! It was the perfect reaction to one of the funniest ceremonies we’ve ever witnessed!

Thankfully this fun and light-hearted couple didn’t let anything ruin their absolutely beautiful wedding day! After all, they were surrounded by all of their loved ones at one of the most gorgeous wedding venues in Virginia! And, they had an amazing vendor team who really brought their romantic blush and gold wedding theme to life!
