Royal Blue Wedding Inspiration | Veritas Winery & Vineyards

Draping vines, rustic wine barrels, vineyard views, and royal blue inspired Mika while planning her wedding at Veritas Winery and Vineyards. As winery wedding photographers, we were inspired ourselves by this bold and beautiful color, which provided a stunning contrast to the vibrant green vineyard backdrop at Veritas Winery. We loved how Mika elegantly incorporated her Royal Blue Wedding Inspiration throughout her wedding decor and details with pops of royal blue in her wedding florals, bridesmaid dresses, bridal jewelry, and even included hues of blue in her custom, locally made wedding invitation suite from Rock Paper Scissors in Charlottesville, Virginia (one of our favorite designers). The way Mika used her royal blue wedding inspiration in her wedding details is a stylish example for any future brides who are interested in incorporating bright colors into their wedding color palettes without it being too overwhelming.

Mika & Ian were surrounded by all of their friends and family on their wedding day, but of course, a very special loved one stole the show: their adorable miniature husky, Lupin! Lupin (named after the Harry Potter character), was given the official job of dog ring bearer, complete with a fancy black bow tie. Dogs in weddings are the best, and he was definitely the star of the wedding ceremony as he made his way down the aisle with the groom and his parents. We’re always excited when our couples include their furry companions in their wedding ceremonies!

The vineyard-inspired wedding details continued from the ceremony into the reception decor. Southern Blooms brought the vineyard indoors by creating a gorgeous pergola draped in Italian Ruscus for the wedding party head table. This was one of the most unique wedding decor ideas we’ve seen this year! One of our favorite parts of Mika & Ian’s wedding was the surprise Mika had planned for Ian. Mika performed a beautiful song with her a cappella friends during the wedding reception. Ian was so surprised! Moments like this are why we love being Charlottesville wedding photographers.
