UVA Inn at Darden Wedding Reception | UVA Chapel Wedding Ceremony

Kristina and Rhett had a beautiful spring UVA Inn at Darden Wedding on grounds of the University in Charlottesville, Virginia! They took inspiration for their wedding day from the University of Virginia itself, elegant and classic! We loved Kristina and Rhett’s story of first meeting during law school at UVA, and realizing they were meant to be when they reconnected after a short time apart focusing on their own law careers. Rhett even drove from South Carolina to surprise Kristina in D.C. with a proposal at the Jefferson Memorial! It was so cute!

Before heading into the UVA Chapel, Kristina had a sweet first look with her dad outside. We love photographing a bride and her dad just before walking down the aisle! After their wedding ceremony, the Rotunda was our first stop for some amazing wedding portraits! Thankfully we had plenty of time before the ceremony, so we were able to photograph at all of their favorite spots, including the UVA Law School of course.

The celebration continued as we moved to UVA’s Darden Business School for their reception. We adored the details for the wedding reception! They used childhood photos from each age to correspond with the table number, the champagne flute escort cards are our new favorites, and the sweet personalized honey jar favors (I mean who couldn’t use more honey)! Everything was beautifully designed and planned by one of our favorite wedding planners, Elise with Laurel Elise Events! Before ending the night with a sparker exit, Carpe Donut served up a late-night snack of coffee and donuts. We loved being a part of Kristen and Rhett’s UVA Inn at Darden Wedding and wish them all the best as they start their new life together!
