Jewish Weddings in Charlottesville Virginia

When Michelle’s mom reached out and mentioned she wanted a wedding photographer experienced with Jewish weddings in Charlottesville, Virginia, I knew we were the perfect fit! Not only am I from a Jewish background, and just had a Jewish wedding in Charlottesville myself, I’ve have had a lot of experience photographing Jewish weddings throughout Virginia!

We love photographing weddings at Mount Ida Farm, and it was the a perfect venue for this jewish weddings in Charlottesville, Virginia. We started the day out with a little extra time on our hands, so it was fun getting to use the drone to photograph the massive property at Mount Ida Farm! We love drone photography, and are finding a lot of our couples are specifically requesting it! Thankfully we have all of the FAA credentials and appropriate insurance, so that we can fly our drone at Charlottesville wedding venues.

We loved the first look for Michelle and Zach! After a lot of hustle and bustle in the morning, you could feel everyone relax and really start enjoying the day once they saw each other for the first time. What a sweet couple they make! After the first look, the rabbi performed a Ketubah ceremony for Michelle and Zach’s closest friends and family before we all headed over to the gazebo for the ceremony! Keeping with Jewish traditions the beautiful couple were married under the Chuppah in front of the gazebo, that Floral Images Design Studio did an incredible job decorating.

There are so many jewish wedding traditions that we love, but I would have to say my favorite is the Hora! The energy and excitement from the bride and groom surrounded by their friends and family is unmatched by any other tradition! We always love photographing the bride and groom as they are hoisted in the chairs by their guests in celebration! Overall it was such a blast! We ended the evening with one of my all time favorite night pictures, as the fog caught the light at the gazebo just right, making for a magical night picture under the stars!

We are so happy for Michelle and Zach, and wish them a wonderful life together!
