When you look at Ley & Andrew’s wedding it evokes words such as classic, elegant, timeless, stunning, and many more! Their beautiful Keswick Hall wedding reception, was vibrant with eye catching colors of rose quartz (pantone color of the year!), navy blue, and a touch of gold. Their indoor ceremony was held at the nearby Grace Episcopal Church, which is often hailed as the most beautiful church in the Charlottesville area. Top it off with many Filipino wedding traditions, from the ceremony through the reception at Keswick Hall, this wedding is a candidate for wedding of the year!
If these photos are any indicator, their wedding was filled with love and joy. Ley and Andrew are such a sweet couple and they are undoubtedly a perfect match for one another. They may also win the award for longest distance relationship with Ley attending school in the Philippines, while Andrew is in Washington, DC. Ley & Andrew we couldn’t be happier for you and wish you well in your new life together!
Keswick Hall has one of our favorite bridal suits! We’re in love with this moment between Ley and her Mother after Ley slipped into her wedding dress!
Ley & Andrew’s wedding was a celebration filled with many Filipino traditions. Primary and Secondary sponsors were essential elements of this tradition within the wedding ceremony. Primary sponsors not only serve as witnesses of the wedding for the state, but also symbolize the couple’s readiness and freedom to marry. While, secondary sponsors represent their affinity or friendship towards the bride and groom. During the ceremony at the nearby Grace Episcopal Church, notable symbols of these traditions could be found in the veil and cord that was placed upon them by Andrew’s two sisters. The veil was representative of their union and being clothed as one while the cord symbolized the couples bond and coming together as one.
After the ceremony the two newlyweds were off to Keswick Hall for the reception in the always stunning antique Packard provided by Albemarle Limousine. One of our favorite antique cars for rent in Charlottesville!
We loved their unique guest book idea! They had each guest sign a blank puzzle piece that when put together encircled their names and wedding date.
The bouquets and flowers from Tourterelle Floral Design were absolutely beautiful! We’re especially in love with the floral table runner.
We’re in love with their cake by Maliha Creations! From the world map, to the monogram, and the incorporation of their color scheme (navy blue ribbon, second layer in the rose quartz color, and gold in the map and monogram), everything was well thought out to compliment their elegant Keswick Hall Wedding Reception! Ley described it as a perfect blend of classic with just a hint of whimsy in both the flavor and design!
Their Keswick Hall wedding reception was full of filipino wedding traditions! We loved the wedding party entrances to the filipino gongs, and later had fun photographing the high energy of their courtship dance, and the filipino gong dances led by Ley’s father!
We always love a good sparkler send off, but this exit was unique as the sparklers were all in the shape of a heart!
