Charlottesville is a gorgeous place to photograph all year round, and especially gorgeous in the fall. We have a few special locations that we love to take couples and families for fall portrait sessions. Today we thought we would share some of our favorite spots!
This gorgeous engagement session was photographed at Chris Greene Lake. We loved how Maribeth and Justin wanted to venture into the water for this picturesque portrait!
The Blue Ridge Parkway is known for its spectacular views of the Virginia landscape. This spot at Ravens Roost Overlook remains one of our favorite spots all year round. It is especially gorgeous with the red, yellow and orange fall foliage.
Chiles Peach Orchard is not only a fun place to visit and bring families for a day of activities, but it is always a great spot for portraits. We love that the peach trees tend to turn their fall colors just before the rest of the trees. This makes it the best place for portrait sessions right at the beginning of fall!
This family portrait session was photographed at Beaver Creek. We love the field by the damn, which gives gorgeous views of the lake and mountains in the background for our beautiful landscape pictures.
Swannanoa Palace is truly a place of beauty with its marble arches and antique walkways. We absolutely love doing portraits there as it provides many spaces to get beautiful photographs of families, seniors and couples!
Carter Mountain Orchard is another favorite location for fall portraits as the trees tend to change later in the season, giving us an extended timeframe for great fall color! It not only has fabulous views of the area, but also cozy areas within the orchard itself.
