Charlottesville Senior Portraits Spotlight: Braelyn

We are so excited to feature our second Senior Model, Braelyn! We hope you have seen her stunning Charlottesville Senior Portraits from last year at Mt. Ida Farm and The Farms at Turkey Run! We were able to chat with Braelyn and ask her to reflect on her past four years in high school and share with us what she is most excited about for college!

AWP: “Congratulations on your acceptance to University of Virginia! Why did you decide to choose UVA?”

Braelyn: “I chose UVA because it offers me the “bigger picture” in terms of helping me pursue what I love to do. I will be working toward my teacher and ESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certification, honing my Spanish fluency, and majoring in UVA’s excellent Theatre department. Sort of an odd combination, but UVA has made my passion for bringing art-enhanced education to under-served minority groups, more than possible. Also, I am thrilled to stay in Charlottesville near my family and friends, and to enjoy both a locally and internationally vibrant town filled with many adventures to be had.”

AWP: “What has been your favorite part and what you will miss most about high school?

Braelyn: “My favorite part about high school was the incredible people and opportunities that I was offered through the years. High school really is what you make it, and with the help of family and friends, I made it one of the most influential and growth-filled seasons of my life so far.

AWP: “What are you most looking forward to in college?”

Braelyn: “Goodness, college. I nervous, I’m scared, I’m excited about no longer being in my comfort zone. That may seem a bit odd, but I am truly looking forward to being humbled by the excellence of my surroundings, my peers and professors. I’m ready to grow, to learn, and to change for the better.”

Braelyn, the Aaron Watson Photography team wishes you the best at University of Virginia and… WAHOOWA!
