Wedding Reception at the Carnegie Institution for Science

Erin and Alexei’s gorgeous wedding reception at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, DC is not one we will soon forget! From the grand venue to the beautiful florals by Helen Olivia and delicious catering by Well Dunn this couples special evening reached the height of elegance and fun! We always love to play around with night photography and had the perfect opportunity to take some portraits after the sun went down. Some of Aaron and guest photographer, Matt Ryb‘s favorite moments in the evening were photographing the unique traditions incorporated into the wedding in honor of Alexei’s Russian heritage (which includes drinking vodka out of the bride’s shoe!) and the newlyweds celebrating with loved ones. For a sweet ending to their wedding day, the happy couple sent off guests with a cupcake from Georgetown Cupcakes!
